Oh yes sure really great ? they took away the franchise at Upchurch & Sons and allowed William & Griffins to keep theirs, over the new rulings. Adrian at Upchurches has enough on his plate as it is, let alone loosing good business by all this machinating around. They invested hundreds of thousands in a new shop next door as-well. Pandora have been absolutely unfair and awful over this. It wont last it never does, that shop has been jinxed for years. Game had problems there. The Gallery at Upchurch is a fantastic store, professionally run with helpful, knowledgeable staff who actually took an interest in me and my requirements. I have bought Pandora products from there for the last 2 years and I've always been pleased to support a local business. I visited the new Pandora store over the weekend and was disappointed to find it to be exactly the same as any other store in any other town. Yes, it was nice and shiny and new but the staff were void of personality and didn't seem bothered whether I purchased or not. Maybe they think they're so big that they don't have to try but the whole experience left me feeling rather bored. Any future Pandora I buy may as well be done online, at least I'll save the parking! Game never had problems there, They closed it because out of the 2 stores it cost more rent and rates. It still grossed a rather good amount of money a year. Pandora always looks really like cheap tat to me, However its disgusting they removed Upchurch's Licence and allowed willy griffs to keep it. Why does colchester need a new pandora store? When it worked very well in up church with very friendly and helpful staff. The staff in the new store only seem to be interested in earning commission and disregarding the customer, it's like the personal touch to buying jewerly isn't part of their service. It's a sad day that Upchurch do not sell pandora products any more, but it will always be my favourite jewellery shop in colchester town. Why does colchester need a new pandora store? The Pandora store is not a main dealer owned store it is another franchise outlet by someone with marketing experience. This is a clear example is where big bucks takes away livelihood from another surely ? There was no justifiable reason why Upchurch were given notice to their Pandora contract arrangement. I also agree in allowing W&G or "Fenwicks" to keep there Pandora franchise and have it bunged right next door to Links of London is quite farcical ? Pandora next to "Rolex" is far more apt and appropriate ? We are loosing a lot of Colchester/Colcestri an business to outside influences ? Its getting like the ides of march in business ?
